Medellin is the 2nd largest city in Columbia and is the capital of the Antioquia province. At an elevation of 1,495 m the air is cool and comfortable. The city hosts close to 2.5 million people, with an additional 1.5 million on the outskirts of the city. Most noticeable was the harmony between the construction of the many buildings in the city and the existing trees, a truly green city. Friendly people, lots of good coffee, forests, rivers and waterfalls a noteworthy vacation location.
