Japan 2025 — Fourteen Days of Light, Culture, and Discovery. A walk through Tokyo’s shrines and the Imperial Gardens brought Japan’s rich history to the surface. Exploring national parks, including a day trip to Nikko to visit Chuzenji Lake and the spectacular Kegon Waterfall, along with a hike up Mount Takao, revealed the natural beauty of the landscape. A ‘rest day’ at TeamLab Planets and Borderless offered a remarkable visual experience.
A train ride to Kyoto led to the Fushimi Inari Shrine and a traditional tea ceremony at Jotokuji Temple, bringing the culture to life. This was followed by a visit to Nara Park, mingling with the free‑roaming deer.
Next, the journey continued south to Hiroshima, exploring the Peace Memorial Park, Miyajima Island, the floating Torii Gate, and hiking Mount Misen. Finally, a train ride to Nagoya set the stage for a hike into the Japanese Alps — spectacular views that made the journey well worth it.
