The Aripo Heights is a mountain range on the northern side of Trinidad, with the highest peak being El Cerro Del Aripo at a height of 3086 feet. South of this peak is another called El Pico Escondido standing at 3078 feet tall. A group of hikers decided to access El Pico on a day following some rainfall. This led to a muddy trail with steep incline and decline and lots of skidding. The trail provided the opportunity to visit the site of the Aripo Caves and two waterfalls which had a nice strong flow of water. Some heavy rainfall in the later part of the day also caused the small tributaries to flow beautifully.
